Welcome to QB1nc.

Maine’s first Elite Coaching Service

Thank you for taking interest in my business “QB1 Incorporated”: Maine’s very first ELITE football training, education and consultation service. My name is Ryan Stroud, and I am the Owner/Head Coach of “QB1nc”. Way back in the year of 2009, I was 5’11’’ - a local standout triathlete & quarterback at Foxcroft Academy in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. As a junior quarterback, I started only 6 games filling in for an injured starter and threw for over 1,300 yards and over 15 touchdowns, the QB1 job was mine from then onward. I finished my senior season in 2009, as the #1 QB overall statistically in regard to both yardage and touchdowns. We won the Eastern Maine Class C Championship and had lost in our birth to the state title game, I won 1st team All-Conference/All-State as QB & then was named a top-10 finalist for the Fitzpatrick Trophy otherwise known to us Mainer’s as “Mr. Football”. The honor of my high school career was in 2009, breaking the single season passing yardage and touchdown records as a senior for both my school (Foxcroft Academy) and the “Little Ten Conference” (LTC). I finished that season with 1,685 yards passing and 28 passing touchdowns, in an old-school generation of Maine football & “RUN dominance” - throwing the football 5 times per game was a blessing therefore numbers like these were not heard of in this period of time. This record was etched into both sets of record books for over 12 years until my very first client - Austin Seavey the OG - broke the school record once more in his senior season, the fall of 2021. It was this very same “fall” season in which I launched QB1nc. as my full time career - coaching QB’s and others like “me” in Maine.

I played collegiately at the University of Maine (D1) for 3 years, and then transferred to Husson University (D3) to finish my collegiate playing days and graduate with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. I am very proud to say that I successfully transferred positions from QB to WR - and then earned a starting spot and captain honors at the new role. I rotated in the lineup as a junior and caught 4 touchdowns that season from the slot receiver position. I then played outside receiver as a senior and went on to catch over receptions, had 300+ yards receiving and 4 touchdowns in my teams championship run in 2014. We won the first ECFC conference championship EVER, and hosted a NCAA playoff game vs MIT that season before I graduated. The Husson Football program was literally changed by the athletes that transferred in with my class - we made history.

Having worked in nursing for over a full year, I had coached at the high school level and although coaching was incredible, my playing days were not done. I trained and marketed myself online - was successful in acquiring my first overseas professional 6-month contract in Pforzhiem, Germany. I was the starting QB, offensive coordinator and receivers coach for the Pforzheim Wilddogs American Football Club. We won the very FIRST league championship in the club’s history - and this was essentially the “last honor” for me before deciding to conclude my playing career. I unknowingly walked away from the “contract of my dreams” the following season that I had worked up the ladder for my entire life. A First League or “Liga One” contract - playing ball in the Polish First Division League for a first-class program, that would have provided the amenities, the pay and the opportunities I had only ever DREAMED of…. I had bought into the fact that I wasn’t good enough to really make a living as a PRO and that it was time to be a nurse or more realistically - a “grown up.” This heartbreak ultimately became the catalyst for my passion to coach and attempt to inspire today’s youth not to give up. My purpose on this planet is to train and teach young athletes from my area, to show them that their dreams are justified and help them reach places I simply never thought possible for myself!

About Coach Ryan Stroud

The Mission of QB1nc.

My in-depth experience being an assistant coach in Maine over the past few years has presented many frustrations and blatant GAPS or “areas of need” in relation to football and its coaches. Unfortunately, they are the same exact gaps and areas of need that existed during my playing days more than 15 years ago....

My dream is to quite literally become the BRIDGE that closes the humongous GAPS that exists here and abroad for “small-town” athletes, coaches, parents, and connect them with the BEST coaching & development program that exists out there today. One by one I promise to invest completely in YOU and guide YOU to find your own process & path to CONFIDENCE. We will work together to eliminate any concept or idea of your potential - aka your ‘CEILING.’ We as people and as COACHES especially have NO IDEA what each individual is truly capable of and who exactly that person is down underneath. My mission is simple, I aim to help aspiring athletes and coaches in Maine, New England and beyond - to become the very best version of “them” and to simply chase their dreams.

My coaching style and PROCESS offers a holistic approach to our athletes in regards to both their learning and training. Through my programs I can assist clients in EVERY aspect of their development (mental, physical and personal) both on and off the field. At QB1nc. the tools are available to help you BECOME the athlete, coach/program that you seek to be to EXCEL at the next level. This has been proven repeatedly and I GUARANTEE 100% client satisfaction!

“As a former small-town standout, who ‘played poor competition’ and who also happened to be ‘undersized, slower and weaker than most of his D1 counterparts’ - I KNOW exactly what it feels like to be immediately labeled, slept-on and overlooked by pretty much EVERYONE. At times my own circle including family and friends didn’t think my dream of playing professionally was legitimate- because ‘nobody’ else has made it before. Eventually somebody has to be the ONE to do it first. That was me and I am just a simple man, nothing special compared to YOU ALL. I played professionally, traveled across the world and won a championship. I got to show the world exactly what I can do, FINALLY, something I waited my entire LIFE & playing career for. My absolute MISSION, my DREAM and why I wake up each day is to help you ALL achieve that very same OPPORTUNITY and show the world who YOU ARE.”
